Do you think people deserve second chances?

A loud, definite, resounding YES.
If not - *shakes head*.....
I'd be dead. God allowed me to go through some stuff, but He never let me get out of control enough to deprive myself of life.
God led me through it, whether I knew it or not. And He has given me SO much more than I deserve. I cringe, and several emotions play, thinking of everything. Greatfulness. A certain kind of shame. Because I *know* I don't deserve it. It's almost painful, the shame and gratitude and a love all mixed together. I could cry just from the overwhelming impact of it all.

We're all 'entitled' to life, in a way. We come to think of it as a right that's just kind of there.
"You're alive!"
"Uhm, no duh?"

But for mine I've realized just how much I'm greatful for it. THANK YOU, God, for giving me two lives.

What I would've been missing...!!

I don't know if anybody will really understand this post besides myself.
But....-smiles-....even if you don't....just take it as a reminder to be overflowing with a feeling of being blessed - "just" for living.
Look at a tree and see the bark, the leaves, the veins. The colors. The strength.
It's not just a tree anymore.
Life is so much more than we give it credit for.

One of the best songs...EVER! I grin like a maniac when it comes on the radio and get all hyper. Yet when I play it at home from AOL Music or YouTube, I just give a huge, 'romantic' sigh. I have pretty much only girls on my list, so I'm sure you'll all know what I mean. It's just like, "Oh, wow...that's so incredibly, make-you-want-to-squeal sweet!" You know what I mean, when you just want to go, "EEE!" instead of just going, "Awww."

Because with a great song like that...you can't just say "Aww." I mean, I can't for one. Don't know about y'all. But you should all totally look it up and listen to it. Watch the video, too. Though it made Amanda and I cry when we watched it together. And I had seen it before! I don't know why I still cried, but I did! It's sweet. Beyond sweet can describe. *goes into all sorts of poetic words*

But yeah.

Amanda had an appointment today for a glucose test. It was earlier than Tirzah wakes up, so I sleep-watched Tirzah while Amanda went to the test, so that she didn't have to be awakened, and thus be fussy for the rest of the day :P

The first nearly-a-week of school has gone great. I actually enjoy it. It's going SO much faster now that I am only doing half-days of math and not getting so discouraged from it. Science is easy so far. I'm studying taxonomy xD I can recite the narrowings-down of species, etc. correctly, if I'm not mistaken...

Here's what I'm up to lately...

I got a new bedframe, with a really cool night-sky blue headboard (actually, the bed is that goldy color of wood, and has dark blue accents, but whatev)

We're thinking of getting a REALLY pretty couch and chair that my mother really wants, which we saw yesterday, which the absence of will cause my sister's deep grief. ;-) 

Obsessing over a Jonas Brothers concert (I just got into them like a week ago. Weird. The same thing happened with my friend. She was really could care less about it, and all of a sudden she's dying to go) that I don't even know if I'm going to get to go to.

Feeling like a brat for obsessing over something a I simply WANT when there's people who NEED things in the world, and also people who are going through things a lot harder than maybe not getting to go to a concert that's about a band you JUST got into

Loving my mom's understanding of "the human plight," as Anne would have said. I thought she'd enforce my idea that I was a spoiled kid, but she just said that it was 'human nature,' and didn't get upset or anything, and actually said that I COULD GO!!!!!! (SQUEE)....if I found somebody to go with me, who was willing to pay $45 for their ticket :-/ Well, then....

Posting stuff about getting Kid Nation (one of my favorite shows on TV) back on the air. They CANCELLED it for 'Kid Detention'. WHAT kind of a show is THAT!? Well, anyways, here's what you can do to help, if you like the show and want it back, too...though I don't think that any of you like it...oh well. I told my 'Boardies,' I'd post it, so I'm going to. Somebody else actually came up with the idea, but I'm helping spread it and strengthen it.

Purchase a blue, green, red, or yellow bandanna, and send it to the address below March 20th, 2008, or maybe even send it out so that it gets there at that date. You'd have to do it a few days earlier, in that case. Anyways, we're giving everybody a month to get the word out. This might work, when they see we have a genuine interest in this. Oh, and another idea is to write your name, age, and state on the bandanna so that they know that these are real, personal people who care. Or you could just put your screenname on here.

On a forum, somebody was saying that Blaine (a person on KN) had a girlfriend, and her name was Joy, and another person posted back, commenting, "I'm Jumping for Joy!" I thought that was hilarious!!!

And, I'm on a Role Play Group, and my character's name is Joy. Today, somebody asked what everybody was asking for for Christmas. One person doesn't get a long vacation for Christmas, so she said, "Joy to the world and a full vacation," and then another friend said, "Hey, Joy, you're going on vacation!" LOL at that one, literally! I posted back, "Yeah, and one across the WORLD, too!" 

Anyways...I also wrote a poem, and want to write another...I can just feel it! IT WILL NOT COME OUT! Hence the use of the usericon that I just whipped up for the occasion. Here's the poem I wrote last night, sort of out of nowhere. It's about being loved for who you are, and never knowing what it is to be, if you're hiding yourself away, so that YOU cannot be loved as you would have been if you had been yourself.
